I have soooo many great opportunities to tell you about today, including how to make dessert and eat it for breakfast!

First, BIG NEWS: SAVE THE DATE for the autumn Body Sass® Cleanse Group Program, Sep. 10-30! Oh yes, my sweet peeps, this powerful and game-changing group program is back for it’s third running of 2016. I LOVE the September Cleanse, as it’s a natural time for the body to re-calibrate AND many of us (myself included) are feeling like we need a re-set after summer food & drink. Join us to lose weight, gain energy, and feel AH-mazing.
I’ll tell you more next week when registration opens. Can’t wait!

And, if you want to get started with understanding weight loss NOW, this month’s topic for my BodyMindSpirit® Membership is weight loss and weight management. And, yes, I did plan that for this topic to be released in August, when many of us start to realize that our summer food & drink extravaganza is catching up with us. 🙂

Next up, a big thank you to all of you who’ve responded to my Quiz request from my Sunday email. If you haven’t done so already, I would super-hugely appreciate it if you would take 2 minutes to
tell me what YOUR biggest health & weight challenges are.

All of the responses that I receive before end-of-day tomorrow (Wed 8/3) will be used to help me create blog topics and health programs that serve YOUR health concerns & questions! How cool is that? As one recent responder wrote “It was certainly short, as promised, and painless!” And those two short, painless minutes will help you get what you need.
Just CLICK HERE to tell me about YOUR needs. Thank you!

One of the recipes in the August BodyMindSpirit® Membership Menu of the Month is a fave breakfast of mine, as of late. It tastes like I’m eating dessert for breakfast.
Coconut milk offers up great medium-chain fats, that our bodies use preferentially for energy. Chia seeds deliver a massive amount of nutrients, including protein, with very few calories. (Thank you, chia seeds.) And, they contain omega-3 fats, which most of us need more of. And the caboose on that splendiferous nutrient train?…this recipe is ridiculously easy to make.

Chia Seed Pudding for Breakfast

Serves 3

Fixings:

  • 1 3/4 c. coconut milk (or almond milk, if you’re not a coconut fan)
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 5 drops liquid stevia
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. chia seeds
  • Pint of fresh strawberries (or other berry awesomeness)
  • Unsweetened coconut flakes (omit, if you’re not a coconut fan)

Prep:

  1. Mix the first 6 ingredients well by whisking them, or tossing them in a blender (I prefer blender).
  2. Pour mixture into a glass or ceramic bowl or jar.
  3. Whisk in the chia seeds. Let sit on counter for about 15 minutes and whisk it every 5 minutes.
  4. Leave in the fridge for overnight, or at least 4 hours.
  5. Remove from fridge and stir well.
  6. Serve some into a bowl and garnish with sliced strawberries and coconut flakes.

Option:
If you, or your kids, find the texture displeasing, you can put all 7 (through chia seeds) of the first ingredients into a blender and blend on high for 1-2 minutes. Then continue on with prep, starting with number 4. Many LOVE the texture of the whole seeds, but I also recognize that some folks might not dig it.
